Thanksgiving Break

This Fall is a complete blur. We've had so much to do with the move, building the house and church callings that it's hard to believe we've already celebrated Thanksgiving and it's time to move onto Christmas.

Tadd spent Thanksgiving day in the yard finishing up raking the rest of the leaves. He took a few pictures about a month ago of the leaves while they were falling (isn't that gorgeous!)

Here he is raking them up, and one of the piles of leaves - crazy huh?!

I spent the morning making pies to take to our friends house for dinner, while the kids played.

We went to our friends, the Cottrell's, for dinner and had a great time. We were grateful to be able to spend the day with them, having a great dinner, and playing pool and Guitar Hero. Later the Larsen's stopped by with some more pies.

On Saturday, Tadd spent the day with Graesie and Tatum putting up Christmas lights on the house and burning the leaves, while Yardie and I cleaned the house, watched a movie and read (no, we don't feel too guilty - those three love the cold, and it was COLD.) The fire department got calls all day from people thinking the elementary school near our house was on fire. Nope, just us and our smokey leaves.

So jealous of your gorgeous yard and that big beautiful tree. Not envious of the raking though.
