We did have a lot of fun on the 4th. We had a picnic in the park with Nana and Papa...
And then we went downtown to watch fireworks right under where they were lighting them off...
The fireworks started early because there was a storm that was a brewin'We got about halfway through the show when it started to dump. We made a dash for the car, but after about 50 or so strides, we were completely drenched. There were parts when we were running/swimming back to the car when the water was over our ankles. Graesie even lost her flip-flops and they started flowing down the street. To top it all off, we got in the car and our A/C compressor was out, so we spent the drive home wiping off the windows with towels.
We lit off our own fireworks the following night on the 5th because of the rain on the 4th. Some of the pics are blurry, but you get the idea...

Carina loved her letter from tatum - special cut outs and all:) Thank her for carina. 4th of july looks like it was fun. I love all the green! Enjoy the rest of the summer.
