11 Years

On July 15th Graesie celebrated her 11th Birthday. The party started the day before when she and her dad went to her choice of restaurants for a birthday lunch just as they do every year. This year she chose IHOP for some pancakes (only on your birthday is this normal.) The girl loves breakfast!

That night her friend Morgan slept over and we got up and opened gifts and had crepes for breakfast.

Then we all headed to the pool for an afternoon of swimming.

The party continued in the evening with rides on her *new scooter and Texas sheet cake that Yardie decorated for her.

* for the record...never NEVER order a scooter off the internet. We ordered one 3 weeks before her birthday and it came damaged. Not just cardboard scraped damaged, but looked like the fed ex truck might have run it over damaged. So we reordered and the day before her birthday fed ex called and said the second scooter was damaged in shipping and did we want to see it before they sent it back!? Luckily it wasn't horrible and the truck came on her birthday and we let the birthday girl decided how bad it was. She kept it. yea. I think the fed ex driver was happy to be part of the surprise. Graesie almost hugged him.

This next year will be full of changes for her, and it's so fun to see what a young lady she's turning into. She'll start Middle School in 2 weeks and will finish up her last year of Primary and Faith in God. She's such a fun girl to have in our home. She's always the peacemaker with a huge smile on her face and likes to make everyone happy (excluding cleaning her room to make her mom happy...but other than that...)
