Tatum's First Day of Preschool

Tatum was so excited to go to school this morning. She got up at 6:30 and got dressed in her brand new outfit, then I did her hair -- she looked so pretty! Then we went out to the bus stop on our corner and waited for the bus to come. Tatum said "I esited!" when she heard the bus coming. Then the bus came...and for some reason Tatum was expecting a little bus. She was so scared when she saw the big bus round the corner and she started to scream. It broke my heart to have to stick her on the bus so upset.
Tadd and I went into the house and decided he should go down to the school and see how she did getting off the bus, but unfortunately Tadd waited on the wrong side of the school and missed the buses. So I met him at the preschool after I dropped the other girls off at their schools and we went in to see how she was doing. Luckily they said that she was fine once she got off the bus, and that she was doing really well. So Tadd and I felt a little better and went home to enjoy a little bit of peace and quiet, but rather than peaceful it was just a little lonely. I turned on the TV because it was so quiet and then just lumped around the house all day missing her. I know it will get easier, but today was rough because we didn't know if she was having fun or not, and I spent the day looking at her schedule to see what she was doing throughout the day.
We waited for her bus for a long time to bring her home and finally when they brought her home they told us that they were running ten minutes late because she wouldn't get on the bus, (hee hee hee) that's our girl. I felt a little sorry for them. She jumped off the bus, into my arms and yelled "I MISSED YOU!" It was soooo cute. She was so happy to be home, but she LOVED school. She told us all about her day, and all the new friends she met. I asked her when I was cuddling before her nap what the best part of school was and she said it was her friends. There are some really cute little girls in her class. It was a really stressful day, but I think it's going to be wonderful for her, and everyone says the bus thing gets easier by the end of the first week. Oh my goodness, I HOPE!
